blah day

Do you ever have days where you just can see to perk up. Ive been having alot of those lately. The feel sorry for me days, or can it get any worse days, or everyone get away from me days or theres a rain cloud over my head and it wont go away? I often say I want the personality of Tigger but Im really Eeyore. One of my many new years resolutions was to be more positive, happy, glass is half full but already I broke that resolution. Today I was listening to Lady Antebellum for the millionth time (love that CD)and I think every song on the cd reminds me of my life somehow so really I guess my life is a county song. Anyways I thought I would copy the lyrics to the song I have listened to over and over today and a little bit ago I actually listened to the lyrics and then looked them up because although the song is in a way sad it trys to up lift you to help you see things will get better. I also want to dedicate this song to my next door neighbor and best friend Shawna in some ways our lives mirror each other and with the support of one another I think we will survive.

Day 7 Something I like to eat

So day 7 and todays photo challenge is to take a picture of something I like to eat. Well that called for a trip to McDonalds althought my true favorite is the burger king Mocha joe and sausage and cheese crosandwich. But my wonderful neighbor/friend had a buy one get one free coffee at McDonalds so thats where we went this morning. Im going to have to make some copies of this pic and post them all over the house to remind me of why I cant lose weight...hum could it be because I eat this kind of stuff...nah cant be the reason. It just tastes so good how can it be bad.

365 days of photos

Okay I decided to take the 365 day of photos challenge. Can I do it? Not sure but at least this will get me taking some pictures. Im going to try and follow the prompts from Gotta Pixels 365 challenge so we will see what turns up. I dont think I will post everyday but I will at least try to do a week at a time. So since Im starting 6 days behind I went around and took pics today.

Day 1: Take a picture of your neighborhood

Well I couldnt get out today so I decided to take a picture of one of my favorite hand made winter decorations. This was given to me by a lady I worked with 8 years ago.

Day 2: Toys

I took a picture of a doll my grandparents gave me. It was one of the last toys I remember getting from them. She is a very special doll.

Day 3: Take a pic of something you collect
These are kitchen fairies I just think they are so cute. Since I dont have little girls I thought I would collect something cute and girlie.



Day 4: Take a picture of yourself
Well thats not going to happen so I took a picture of Jonah when we were at the hockey game the other day so hes part of me so that counts right?


Day 5: Something Unique
Every year during christmas whenever we get christmas cards I have always put them on the back of our front door and every year people comment of what a great idea it is to do that. So I think its kinda unique.


Day 6: Where do you craft
This was a hard picture to take, its just the corner of my craft room and not the messest. My craft room is such a mess right now and I really want to organize it but I just dont have to time and tools to get in there and get it done. Maybe this will inspire me to get to work.


So now I am caught up lets see if I can keep it up.

I really had wanted to create more layouts with these kits. I got the layouts done the first week of november but next thing I knew November was over. Gesh where did this month go. Target October 27, 2009

Great deal for me at Target today was Keebler cookies. This week they are on sale for $2 and buy 2 get 1 free then each package has a $1 off coupon off one pack. So I got 6 packages of cookies for a total of $2.00. What a steal!

Albertson October 26, 2009

My trip to Albies this week came to $15.84. I sure it could have been cheaper but I still think I did pretty good. I got 4 boxes of Tonys frozen pizza, 12 cans of Campbells cream soups, 2 Litehouse chocolate carmel dips and 2 Nestle halloween themed refridgered cookies.

Albertsons Oct 19th

This week I went to Albies and got 7 boxes of name brand cereal and two big tubes of crest toothpaste and only spent $4.00. Im still so new to the grocery game but it sure is fun to leave knowing how much you just got for such a little amount of money.

Albertsons shopping

Last week we had a class at my house on couponing and how to take advantage of sale items using the coupons. So this past week I set out with coupons in hand and a handy shopping list, thanks to www.fistfulofcoupons.com, I went to Albertsons to see how much I could save. My goal for this trip was to not spend over $20. Well I left the store having spent $25.58 which wasnt that bad and I think mainly I went over because I didnt have coupons for all the sale items due to low ink and I couldnt find all the coupons. So I redeemed $12.75 in coupons which I have had a higher coupon amount in the past but Im pretty happy with what I spent/saved and brought home. Below is a picture of all that I got.

First Year - Boy

My second kit I got to work with this month at Scrapdish is called First Year - Boy by Designer: Candace Duffy Jones. Candace also has a First Year Girl kit that is just as cute only pink and girly.

Falling for Autumn

This month one of the kits at scrapdish I got to work with is Falling for Autumn by Connie Prince. Beautiful kit. I loved the colors and really makes me excited for fall.

September Scrapdish kits

This month for Scrapdish I got to work on Alex's Train and Celebrista. Both are great kits and just went along so well with the pictures that I have. Kim must of had a sneak peak into what pics I have on my computer at the moment. Anyways here they are:

ScrapDish Designers September 2009 Collaborative Kit

The September 2009 Collaborative kit is now available at Scrapdish. So far Ive worked on Pop art by Melissa Daniel. Im waiting for my download of the entire kit so I can play with the rest of the collaboration.

Magical Moments

I was just playing around with Melissa Daniel's kit Magical moments just for fun and this is what I came up with.

Super man but not in a super man way.

The challenge on Gotta Pixel this week was to use the Comical kit in a not so tradionial way. Defination, dont put kids in super hero costume in the layout. I decided to use pics of Jaden when he was born. He has been a super baby and kid with all he has gone through just to be here with us so in my eyes he is super and he is a kid of steel.

Lions and Tigers and ....KIDS?

My second kit from Scrapdish this month is called Little Land by Carola Mondini. This kit has the cutest animals in it. If you get a chance check it out over at scrapdish.

Once upon a dream by Melissa Daniel

Melissa has a very cute kit out called Once upon a dream. This is just another reason to make me sad I have no girls. So this kit was too cute to not use so I had a pic of my friend and her two girlies and decided to jump in and make a layout. You can find this kit at Scrapdish or Scrapable. Hope you enjoy.

Bedtime stories

One of the Scrapdish kits I got to work on this month is called Bedtime stories by Acmdesignz. This is a very cute kit. I take alot of pics of the boys asleep, since that is the only time they are still, so this kit will be used alot.

Scrapdish July kits.

This month I got to work with Pizza Dude by TotallyD Designs and Art 101 by Caroline B. These are both really cute kits with lots of possiblities. I was hoping to stage some really good pics of the boys eatting pizza and doing something artsy but this month is flying by and Im finding I have no time for anything so I made due with what I got and I think I came up with two good pages.

Havent posted lately

I just saw that my last post was on May 11th. I guess you can say Ive been in a funk lately. I feel like I havent had a moment to myself, my craft room is a disaster and I cant seem to get anything done or even started for that matter. Then to top it all off I had a bad situation happen at Jads so I decided to leave their design team. Long story and Im sad to see it come to an end but it was for the best. Im very happy to say Im still on the creative teams for Scrapdish and melissa Daniel designs. Both teams have super creative people on it and I have had a great time taking part. Now I just have to get out of my funk and get moving and even try and apply for some more design teams. Since its summer I hope to have more "me" time. Well hopefully you will see more things being posted. Stay tuned.
